The Jenda Water Project is located within the Colline (community) of Songa. Nearly 1,500 residents will benefit from the construction which will take approximately two months. As shown in the diagram below, the project will flow from one underground spring source and feature four tap stands, one tank, one collection chamber. The Gazelle Foundation employs the local population for every system built, fostering a greater sense of ownership as well as stimulating the economy. In a country where unemployment hovers between 60-70 percent, a few weeks wages could be the majority of income earned for the year.
